What’s the longest-running nameplate in the car business? You’ve guessed right, everyone’s favorite behemoth, the Chevrolet Suburban.

First launched back in 1935, the Chevy Suburban grew to epitomize what a full-size SUV should be. Each of the ten Suburban generations feature qualities like spaciousness, ruggedness, and durability.

The current generation boasts those qualities, and many others. The 2011 Chevy Suburban offers best-in-class towing, a five-star crash rating, strong powertrains, a comfortable ride and spacious seating for up to nine plus their cargo. In addition to creating the full-size SUV segment, the Suburban still manages to dominate it.

After 75 years, Chevrolet estimates it has built between 2.25–2.4 million Suburbans in total.
