The much anticipated 2010 Chevrolet Cruze has finally been shown off prior to its official unveiling at the Paris Auto Show on October. As a replacement for the compact Chevy Cobalt, the Cruze has big shoes to fill within an ever-competitive market segment.
Following its debut in Paris, the Chevrolet Cruze is scheduled to go on sale in Europe first in March of 2009, followed by its sale in other markets, including the US, where it’s eagerly anticipated at Boonville Chevrolet and other dealers. As a model that’s sold globally, the Cruze needless to say features the global design language that’s finding its way on many new Chevrolet models.
The new Chevy Cruze features a sleek new design with characteristically European design cues, including an aching roof line and a raked windshield that contributes to an overall look of sportiness, which appeals to Bob Watson Chevrolet customers. Another noticeable feature is that the Cruze is both longer and wider than much of its competition. Overall, the styling gives the vehicle a look of quality and it should be much more of a standout that the current Cobalt.
Among the most noticeable features is the bold front end of the Chevrolet Cruze, which features an attractive headlamp housing that sweep upwards along the hood and fenders. The bold fenders also gives way to a high shoulder-line that highlights how the wheels have been pushed outward toward the body’s corners. Durango CO Chevy dealers know that the sporty attitude of the new Cruze will surely appeal to Colorado customers.
Powering the Chevrolet Cruze will be a 1.6-liter four cylinder engine with variable valve timing. In addition, a 2.0-liter turbo diesel will also be available which should make Used Cars Birmingham drivers content with a gasoline alternative. The transmission choices include a give-speed manual and a new six-speed automatic transmission.
With the release of the Chevrolet Cobalt, Chevy highlighted build quality and fit and finish. The release of the Cruze will also highlight fit and finish, with quality materials and minimal gaps and improved construction throughout which should impress shoppers at New Mexico Chevy dealers who say quality goes a long way.
