America’s automotive landscape is in for a big change later this year when the Chevrolet Spark mini-car makes its debut at dealers like Tyler Chevrolet Dealerships. Already on sale in more than 100 countries around the globe, the new Spark is being custom tailored to appeal directly to U.S. drivers looking for a stylish and affordable car that is ideal for city living.
And notably, this includes a number of first-in-segment features, including standard Hill Start Assist and Panic Brake Assist. The first technology is designed to help owners cope with San Francisco-style hills by preventing the Spark from rolling when the driver’s foot moves from the brake pedal to the accelerator. The second can detect scenarios in which emergency braking power is required, then automatically deliver exactly that.
The Spark also will be the only city car in America to come standard with 15-inch alloy wheels, and it’s also gotten a major upgrade in the looks department with a refreshed grille and redesigned fog lamps that create a more athletic appearance for the car. But it doesn’t just look sportier than its global brethren, it actually is sportier, thanks to a retuned suspension that enhances ride and handling, as well as a bigger, more powerful engine.
Indianapolis Chevrolet Dealers noted that U.S. Spark owners will be able to enjoy the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment and connectivity system, too. MyLink offers a seven-inch color touchscreen, integrated access to Pandora and Stitcher online music services, Bluetooth technology, navigation, and the ability to link to smartphones and other USB-enabled devices for even more functionality.

Our engineers tuned and equipped the Chevrolet Spark specifically for first-time buyers and city dwellers in North America,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet Global Marketing. “Spark is the perfect urban car because we’ve made it easy to drive, easy to park and easy to own.”
